2019 Mission Trip

Columbia, South Carolina

The first week of June found thirteen of our church members traveling to Columbia, South Carolina to work with The Saint Bernard Project (SBP) to restore homes damaged in the flood of 2015. The mission was unusual in that we worked on four different houses. Our work included repairing siding and painting one house, doing the final cleaning before moving furniture back in for another family, replacing molded sheetrock at another house, and laying lauan and leveling a floor at a house out in the country. Each evening we would return to our host church, East Minster Presbyterian Church, for dinner, reflection on the day’s work, communion, and fellowship.
