WHO WE ARE
First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro believes our calling is deeply rooted in creating a loving and caring world. Whether you join us for one day, one year, or forever, we will love you like one of our own and accept you as you come
What should I wear?
You are invited to wear whatever makes you comfortable, you will be accepted here no matter what you are wearing. You will see people dressed in their “Sunday best” while others are wearing blue jeans and tee shirts.
Where should I park?
We have ample free parking in front of the church and to the side of the fellowship hall including accessible parking spots in both lots.
What if I’m not Presbyterian? Should I still come?
Yes! FPCJ is open to anyone looking to explore their faith or looking for a community that cares for them. Each life is unique and each journey is just as so, we are all here for you in any point.
What can I expect worship to be like?
Each service lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. We will have bulletins available in the entrance hall for you to follow along. Throughout the service there will be moments we stand as a congregation, each time will be marked with an asterisk *. The service includes hymns, scripture reading, choral and organ music, prayer and a sermon
What are the people like?
We are a mix of families, singles, old, young, and everything in between. We also pride ourselves in being a welcoming church that believes in following the teachings of god by loving everyone who crosses our paths.
What if I've never attended a church? Will I know what to do?
We structure our bulletins to be as seamless as possible for new members or guests, however if at any point you have a question you can ask anyone in your pew or behind you for guidance.
